As artists, we wield tremendous influence in our culture. Plato rightly feared the arts’ ability to shape thought and sway the affection of society. When we harness the power of our public voice to speak out as advocates, we pierce the consciences of good men and women. We are proud to join forces with artists who are willing to use their influence and platform to tell the stories of those whose voices might never be heard... the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed living in impoverished communities around the world.

Who is Meghan Markle?

"Do one act of kindness every day. It doesn't need to be big. It just needs to be something."

Lifestyle expert and actress Meghan Markle became a World Vision Global Ambassador after travelling to Rwanda with World Vision in February 2016. She saw firsthand the impact that clean water has on the lives of children and communities in Africa. While visiting a school in Rwanda, she met 25 students who now have access to a clean water pipeline, built by World Vision in 2015, in their community.

During the visit, Meghan taught these students to paint with watercolours using the water from the pipeline. The students created paintings of their hopes and futures, which are bright and full of promise, thanks to clean water.

Help Meghan Markle Build Wells in Africa

"The contrast between communities that do and do not have access to clean water had a great impact on me. One borehole can bring life-giving water to as many as 500 people! I'm on a mission to build wells in Africa, and I'm asking each of you to join me and see how many wells we can build together."
