"I have a weak heart for hurting kids in the world, so when World Vision Canada asked me to get involved with them, I was more than happy to do so."
Danny Fernandes has made a name for himself as an R&B artist over the last few years with hard work, an intensive touring schedule, award nominations and wins. “It’s easy to get caught up in these things… I wanted to show people a different side of me. I’m doing that with the new music. But charity is an awesome way of giving back.”
Fernandes partners with World Vision through social media, school visits, and working with the Artist Collective on his tours to promote child sponsorship. He has been a strong supporter of World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine since 2013, and has helped to motivate hundreds of students into participating.
When you sponsor a child, you help break the cycle of poverty by providing a child and their community with life-saving necessities. Canadians have been partnering with World Vision for more than 50 years, because they've discovered that sponsorship works. With your help, we partner with the child, their family, neighbours and local leaders to transform a struggling community into one that is thriving. World Vision’s programs focus on Food, Education, Health, Clean water, Child Protection and other vital areas which improve the lives of children and their community.
