"Most of us wait around to do something massive, missing the fact that in this moment, we can do something. We can all do something."
Josh McCabe and Matt Shaban are the duo behind Caves, a Canadian worship band from Whitby, Ontario. They began writing songs during the summer of 2013, creating demos for what eventually became their self-titled debut record. Merging worship with rock and southern influences, Caves is telling a story with their music, writing and singing songs that speak from their life situations.
When you sponsor a child, you help break the cycle of poverty by providing a child and their community with life-saving necessities. Canadians have been partnering with World Vision for more than 50 years, because they've discovered that sponsorship works. With your help, we partner with the child, their family, neighbours and local leaders to transform a struggling community into one that is thriving. World Vision’s programs focus on Food, Education, Health, Clean water, Child Protection and other vital areas which improve the lives of children and their community.
“I met a man named Moses Pulei at a World Vision conference,” says Josh. “He was one of the first children sponsored in Kenya over 40 years ago. As we began sharing stories about family and our upbringing, he told me that many children his village weren’t named until the age of 5 because they weren’t expected to make it that far. Things became all too real for me at that point. I’ve been dedicated to the mission of World Vision ever since.”
